    Looks interesting.
Do you know if it will be UAD2 & UAD Apollo only or just for the initial release?

    Its on UAD?  Interesting...

I find that multiple instances of amp sims, absolutely shred the cpu.

Edit = ergo, "having the power of an extra dsp chip, is not a bad way to go, when it comes to computerized guitar tone."

What makes you think it's UAD?  Their other guitar sims are native.

Just from what I read in the announcement:

    "ENGL PLUGINS DEBUT NAMM!
    (*drum-roll*)... tattaaaa!!
    .............................................
    Developed by Brainworx & ENGL.
Available for UAD2 & UAD Apollo very soon.
    >more info below.

Brainworx is proud to announce this new cooperation.
The ENGL Amps were modeled in close cooperation with ENGL Germany, using a NEW technology developed by Brainworx, which enables accurate reproduction of the power amp behavior. These plugins are original ENGL products and will be marketed by ENGL and Brainworx.

    Available after NAMM."

I reckon, "it has to be UAD."

I am starting to notice that when I do my drums, and my bass, and a few ambient synths, and than I start to add the amp sims, I really run out of cpu...

On a quad amd...   and I don't think an 8 core, or even an i7 is going to make, "that much diff."

Now..  If they really went deep with the modeling, "they used techniques that eat cpu."

I'm back at the point where, "I want a floorboard now," cause I just do not have enough cpu juice to do what I want to do.

I've got zero desire to upgrade computers!!  I really want to wait at least another year, perhaps two, to see what is going on with thundbolt??   I mean, "where are the next gen audio cards."  and all that jazz.

Plus, "I'm thinking there will be less latency with a floor board."  I'm willing to give up, "re-amping."

Don't know if it's just the initial release or if a native version will be announced eventually.

Hope it does go native. I'd be on it quicker than a wallaby in a speedboat on its way to eat a banana split.

Looks like it's going to be another Plugin alliance plug. I think PA will be selling all of Brainworx plugs. I just picked up V2 native and it is the same plug as the UAD version.  You can get V2 from PA this month for $129 with the code bxdigv24129
