Envelope Editing
So if I'm right, we're back to the old way of having to "Add nodes at selection" rather than just click/drag & adjust.
Is this so? Can anyone confirm?

Nope. There's now a "shelf" function in the Smart Tool. Make your time range selection on an envelope, move up to the top, where the clip header is, and click and hold; Move down/up. This should be easier and less steps than the "insert nodes at selection" command.

It seems like there is a difference now, though, if you want to move a line of automation between two selected nodes. In X1 you could just click on the line between the two nodes and move both nodes simultaneously where you wanted them. In X2, it seems like you must lasso the two nodes to select, and then grab only one of the nodes to move both nodes and the line of automation between them. If you try to click in between two nodes to move them, as in X1, all you do is add another node.

Cool! Thanks for the info! I could have sworn I tried every control-shift-alt combination to make it work like that... but I guess I didn't. Your X2 tutorial examples look very thorough. Looks like extremely good presentation & info. May get it just to be sure I'm not missing any of X2's more obvious functions. Thanks again.

That covers the basics of automation editing in X2 pretty well.
