Er... no master bus...?

I'm feeling a bit stupid, but er... I installed Sonar 8.5 on my new pc and I jut noticed there isn't a master bus in my project...? I can't add any plugins to the master? Shouldn't there be a master bus automatically by default? Or am I missing something obvious...? I can't remember having this problem before...

Sonar 8.5 PE, Edirol FA-66, Behringer C-1. All instruments in my songs are VSTi's.

Kinda depends what project template you've used.

If, for instance, you use the blank project there will (unsurprisingly) not be any tracks or bussess, you have to make your own.

I have Sonar set up so that it can only see the first pair of outputs from my sound card and then I always make a buss, which I call 'Master' and route it to that physical output. Then all subsequent tracks and busses I make sure get routed (eventually) to this master buss.

Ok, clear. Odd, I can't remember having to do this before, even though afaik I always used the Normal-template for my personal template... Anyway, I'll create my own Mater bus then. Thanks!

You have to insert a Master Bus yourself - Sonar doesn't do it for you (and never has, apart from in certain templates).

do you just have it "hidden"?  you can click and drag the bus window from the bottom in the track view.

No, it isn't hidden. ;) It just isn't there. Apparently my age is becoming a problem with these kind of things... ;)

then I guess it must have been the normal template saved that way.  just create you another normal template with a master bus in it like has already been suggested.
