Eric, have you noticed this?

Come Dine with Me

Today on C4 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Rosita Bowkat, a woman with a penchant for risque conversation, takes on landlady Tania Jones, fitness fanatic Nicholas Clarke and Take That tribute band member Tony James as the dinner party challenge heads to Worcester. Among the week's highlights are a menu featuring gazelle horns, a Spartacus themed party and a frightening pig mask.

I used to go to school with a 'Nick Clarke' - don't suppose it's him though.

Have you heard of the Take That tribute band?

    Ha ha!

Nope, didn't know about it - don't watch telly - till this afternoon someone explained to me what
all the Spartacus comments that had being going on all weekend were about.

Don't know about a Take That tribute band, though at some point in the mid-90's a few of us over a couple (ie lots)
of beers thought about forming a Take That piss-take band. We got as far as the band name...

    Take That, Give This.

Well, it was amusing to us at the time, and it was quite a lot of beer we'd had...

Just had a look at the programme on 4OD, don't recognize anyone....

    LOL

I remember getting that far too, except we came up with.

    Took That...

I lost interest when I found out for some reason I was supposed to be a drug casualty version of the cute little one that can't sing.

I'm just grateful that some projects never saw the light of day.

    Nice one!

Good to have humour in music, though not knowing most of their material
it'd be mostly lost on me. Never heard of them playing locally, wouldn't be surprised
if they play Keystones or the Marrs Bar in the near future though.

I'm just grateful that some projects never saw the light of day.

Same here. Sometimes I think audiences don't realize how lucky they are too those projects
never saw the light of day An attempt at an Electronica/Gypsy Folk/Death Metal fusion was one which never
quite worked out. We gave up after a session at which the drummer (the Metal part) consumed about
eight cans of Special Brew and collapsed into his drum kit.

But at least we had fun.
