Error alert noise

When working in X2 or any version of sonar from the past for that, When you click on something that you can't open at the current time or there is some sort of error message that pops up there is this god awful alert sound that goes off also (kind of trumpety) When working with phones at a higher volume this thing can blow your ears off. Is there any way to disable that alert noise?

Sounds like you have Windows Sound enabled.

You'll have to go in to Windows Sound settings and set it to 'No Sounds'.

SONAR does not generate sound with error message, Windows does though. You should disable Windows sounds when using any DAW.

Or route the windows sounds through a different soundcard to your Sonar audio so you can control the volume independently.
