I like the improvement to this song, and I like the blues song following it even better.  You are truly the master of many styles, and I'm a little jealous.  Carry on!

I always like your work.    For me the strings were too hot and the guitar had a touch too much reverb.  I wanted to hear the guitar a little more clearly and the reverb seemed a bit much on the higher notes of the guitar.

Just my two cents worth on the mix.     Do you pick with your finger or fingernail?  I can't grow fingernails, and damn I wish I could.

Hi Lynn, thanks for listening, glad your jealous ; )

Hi Daryl, thanks, if I ever have the money I will have to buy some monitors to hear what I'm doing ; )   I usually pick with my fingertips and nails, this was played with a plectrum though.

This quite pleasant Rik and well recorded, my only observation is it could, to my ears, do with a little more bottom end weight.

    Thanks for sharing

Nylon guitar adds a lot.  I don’t know why you say “just as boring…”, that’s not doing it justice. Like some music that seems to float around (some of the tracks from Blade Runner come to mind while I was listening) - this hangs in the air and adds something “good”. I might vary the synth in that is remains strong and present once introduced - bringing it in and out would let the guitar express itself better (just another opinion). I like what you’re doing here.

Wookie beat me to it. Your content is nice but the music bed lacks a low end. A grainier long reverb (not too much)  would also complete that nice soundtrack-like ambience that this piece gives off.
Also the piece is not boring and never throw anything away....

Hi John, thanks, let's call it ethereal and leave it at that ; )

Hi manny, thanks, "Bladerunner"my favorite movie of all time !  The "synth"is actually 2 choirs and two sets of strings.

Hi MCG, glad you don't find it boring ; )

It's not fair!!! You come up with all this cool stuff and you make it sound easy.

AND you make up cool, original titles!

But, in spite of all that, this is really good.  :)

Hi Janet, thanks, glad you like it : ) Let's just say I know where to borrow a good title. The tune is all mine though, glad it's cool ; )

Very beautiful.  Part of it almost has a ring of David Crosby around 71, 72.  I don't know why.  The only thing I recognize in the title is "ego".  My first two wives got all of mine so I am egoless.  LOL

This is astounding. Really fabulous. I could listen to this all night. The only thing I would suggest is a very deep (nearly subsonc) almost droning tone to fill in the bottom end and warm it up a bit. Brilliant Rik!

Hi Warren, thanks. sorry to hear about your lack of ego ; )

Hi Shad, thanks, glad you like it. A drone would certainly be an option to fill out the bottom end.
