Well good on ya then! Unfortunately, I've not had the luck you've had. Sure, my Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of RAM ran Sonar for me. It ran Sonar for me for 5 years. I just had to change the way I did things because of limitations. For example, I frequently use Superior, BFD 2, SSD in my projects. As I worked at mixing my stuff, I almost ALWAYS had to freeze the synths to free up additional bandwidth for effects. Now, is Sonar broken- absolutely not. Is hitting a wall fun - no way. Sonar will run fine on a laptop, you'll just hit a wall much more quickly. What I've found with this most recent set up is that I've not hit a wall or had to dial back a single thing, which is a first for me with Sonar, Cubase or even Pro Tools- hence the recommendation!
