Expanded offer
Well in a dramatic change of mind I ran to the storefront on the last hour of the last day of the offer and attempted to buy a bundle, only to find my copy of Sonar X1 was not registered with the store. That has since been since rectified but the offer has long since gone. So mind has been made up for me. Non, je ne regrette rien.

I bet if you called Cake support they'll hook a brotha up. They helped me out with an upgrade a while back, but the order had to be placed manually via the phone.

I'm sure a phone call is all it would take. It's not your fault you bought X1 yesterday.

I rang them up about registration in January (when I bought it) and asked them to update the store front.... they did sod all. I also sent an email on the day offer expired explaining everything and all I got in return was just an automated registration email which sorted out the Cakewalk Pro registration in their store front (good), but no human correspondence tacking any of the other issues .... pretty piss poor. Well I don't care if they don't care. Cheers :).

Call 'em dude. They are good responsive humans on the other end and will take care of you. Emailing [no matter what the reason] elicits poor reponses from any tech support people, no matter the company. Calls work. Cheers! Jim

I agree with Jim and John. and it's not unexpected behavior that they would not necessarily offer you anything from your email, but that they probably would if you called them and explained the situation.

And I say this as someone who has done a lot of tech support for a living. Most companies (my previous employer included) view email help as a lower priority to the people who took the time to stand in line, so to speak, on the phones. FWIW, my current employer looks at it totally differently; email is the preferred method for handling support here and as a result, I can actually reply to folks much faster and believe it or not, we have happier clients this way. We're the exception, though - almost nobody says "email first", but it works - people have to spell out their problem, think about what the issue is, and put it into words. Then I have what I need in order to help them.

Ditto on using electronic means of communication for support. I've been doing this for about 14 years myself, and I definitely prefer non-phone methods for issue handling. But that said, a phone call is more likely to elicit the type of reply the OP is looking for...

We sometimes leave offers up after the end date for customers who couldn't take advantage. If you go to the store, you will see all the bundles are still up and you can order today. We will take them down tomorrow. Also, if you had called customers service, we would have honored the offer since it was up on the store.

And I appreciate it thankyou.... However my story of woe continues... my credit card company got taken over by another bank. My credit card expired 31 October and the new card from the new bank doesn't come online till the 7th.... So everything expired end of October! I guess fate was trying to tell me something... (I'm wondering if I could turn this thread into some sort of weekly soap opera). Anyway Cake thanks for making the effort....
