It is the normal size for a 16/44.1 track that is 11 minutes long. If your track isn't 11 minutes long, you exported a 24/? track and need to change the export resolution to 16/44.1

For E mail that's a brutally large file. That would kill my connection for an hour. The normal CD setting is change the 32 bit to 16, and then 44.1. Then convert it to a MP3 using another program if your version of Sonar might not include the conversion. There are plenty of free programs I guess . I use MP3 @190 kbps for E-mail and the file will be around 4 MB for a 3 minute song. If it's a Master going to a pro studio then send it as WAVE. at what ever format they ask for.

I'm not sure if this is where I need to ask this but it does concernt exporting audio. Here's the deal. I've got a good, not completed, mix on a song and intended to send it to a friend for an outside opinion. I had no problem exporting the song to a thumbdrive so I could bring to my online computer, however, when I play it back on my media player (GOM Player) there is a noticable drop out in the level of the 1st 2 measures, which are only kick drum and acoustic guitar. When it gets to the 3rd measure, where the vocal comes in, the kick drum jumps in volume to where it should be. I guestimate the volume on the 1st two measures is about 1/2 of what 'normal' is, as it is on the rest of the track. When I'm playing from Sonar on my studio monitors that dropout is not there, it's all one level. Any ideas??? I'm stumped as to why it's doing that....

To the above. Most commercial audio music players will automatically fade in, thus eliminating clips due to the wave not starting at -inf. This might be what you are experiencing. It might be possible to disable fade in on your player, but I have never used that one.

Try reimporting your bounced track back into Sonar (Same project, new track), route it directly to your Soundcard, then set it up so you can A/B between the bounced track and the raw tracks and listen for any differences. If there's no difference, you can eliminate Sonar from the equation, if there is a difference, it's in your routing/exporting somewhere.

Yea, that can be a normal size for a wave file, especially if its at its original bit and sample. If the file is too big for your email, use yousendit or sendspace to send it. Cj

Generally Sonar will export exactly what you hear as played back. Use select all ( or select none ) to eliminate any tracks not being played. Set the export to 16/ 44.1 to be sure it can be played on standard equipment. I would then play it in Win Amp or Media Player to verify the mix. If emailing convert to MP3.
