Export Separate Tracks all with Bus Effects

OK this is probably an easy one... But how can I export all the tracks in my open project, separately to individual wav files, all of them having the effects from the master bus?

In the export dialog box I can choose "Source Category" - Buses and then choose the Master Bus (where all my effects are on) and I of course get one wav file. Or I can choose "Source Category - Tracks and it shows it's going to export all of my tracks separately... And it does... except even though under "Mix Enables" I have Bus FX checked, it doesn't export with the Bus FX. I just tested it by adding some horrendous reverb and it definitely doesn't.

I need to get this exported right now so I think I'll just go through one by one, soloing each track and exporting with the Bus option for Source one track at a time, but I'd love to know for the future if there's a way to do this properly.

Thanks!

Hi. When exporting, choose tracks as source.

    All the best.

That won't apply bus effects though (which is correct as they're, er, not going via a bus in this instance).

Only way I can think to do this is track by track (soloing) and selecting bus output. Actually, drag copying the bus effect to all tracks and then exporting by track would work.

Seems an odd requirement though as bus effects by definition apply to the sum of the tracks feeding it, not to each track feeding it individually and then summing (which will likely result in a different sound).

Thanks for the reply zargg but like I said, I did try that but it skips the bus effects.

And kperry that actually isn't a bad idea (drag copying the bus effect to all my tracks.

It would work in this situation anyway (I'm applying one effect to a whole bunch of finished wav tracks). Wouldn't really be efficient for a song though in which there's effects all over the place on the different individual tracks already... But yea, for this situation it would certainly be faster.

So it does not work when Bus Effects are checked? I do this very seldom, and thought it worked.

Nope. It totally skips them (even though it's clearly checked). It's pretty weird... I mean why would that be an option if it doesn't do anything, right? Haha. But yea I even checked by throwing a completely noticeable big reverb on the bus just to see how it would sound exported as tracks and it's not there at all.

Did you use fast or live bounce? It could be worth to try the other.. Just thinking...

Because you're exporting tracks and bus FX come from busses - the audio never gets near the busses in this case.  Makes perfect sense.

Yea but why have the option to check Bus FX? Why not just gray it out as soon as you choose the Tracks option? Right? Other things get grayed out when they don't apply...

Either way, seems like an option that would be potentially useful for more than just me in that one situation I'd imagine?

I do have Fast Bounce checked... Maybe I'll try it next time with that unchecked, see if it makes a difference...

Yeah, I do agree that an unused checkbox should be greyed out.
