Export audio and bounce don't work properly with Symphonic Choirs

I wrote a piece in Sonar 8.5 using several Symphonic Choirs instances and the Wordbuilder MIDI plugin to set the words sung by the choir. It sounds fine when I play it in Sonar.

Unfortunately, if I try and freeze one of the tracks to save memory, it breaks the sound because it doesn't seem to process the MIDI plugin that is used to form the words.

Also, if I try and use the Export Audio option to bounce tracks, it causes problems with the wordbuilder because words get cut off abruptly or not played at their full length. I assume this is due to some interaction between the wordbuilder's timing and the host's timing. I tried with both Fast Bounce on and off, but it made no difference. If I have Audible Bounce on, I hear the incorrect sound.

Any suggestions? If I can't fix this then the choirs are likely to be useless to me.

Hi, maybe you already solved the problem by now, but anyway here's a solution:

Symphonic Choirs seems to cause problems (cracks, noises, fuzz or cut phrases) when exporting audio, specially when doing several tracks (a Full SATB for example) so I also tried to freeze the tracks as well and it didn't work right. Then I realized that not all the frozen tracks where wrong, so I tried this:

    1. Freeze one track (The Sopranos for example). It seemed to work fine, but then the sound of the other tracks in Symphonic Choirs might be broken.
    2. Save and restart the project. All the Symphonic Choirs tracks might sound ok now, and the track for the sopranos would already be frozen.
    3. Repeat the first and second steps for the Altos section, then Tenors, and so on. You should not have cracks noises or other undesired effects now.

I haven't tried bouncing, but probably you might have to use a similar procedure. I prefer it this way because even though the tracks are frozen you can still change the mix. If you bounce all the tracks for the choir you should have a final mix of the choir.

    Hope it helps,

    Cheers!!
