Export your Mix to MP4 Format with a free AAC Codec.

Hi Guys & Gals,
For those of you who would like to be able to Export their Mix to MP4 format using the superior AAC Compression Codec, here is my Guide to...
Configuring the FREE NERO AAC MP4 Encoder for the Audio/Export feature of Sonar Professional & Platinum.

Once configured, all you do is go through the usual process of Export/Audio, but select the new "NERO AAC Encoder" option that will appear in the Encoder Type Drop Down List.

Just sit back and let it all do it AUTOMATICALLY. Oh.. and by the way, it creates the WAVe file version as well in the one slick process and asks you if you want to keep it should you be creating a newer version.

The initial setting up is a little bit Techy, but I think most will be able to work through it successfully..
Here a link to the PDF config guide from my Google Drive.

Cheers!..

Thanks for this. Sonar does include info on how to use the Encoder Configuration tool to add export codecs to the Export Audio menu, however yours is a much clearer rendering of the information.

I don't know if you've seen the Software forum. The first thread contains a compilation of all the Sonar resources & Utilities including programs that have been created by forum members.
I'd like to include your first post information and link in that compilation under tutorials. A category yet to be created. I'll add it this evening. Even though you've placed the information on a public forum I still like to ask for approval. Thanks in advance.

I posted this a couple of years ago. The process is similar for any external encoder. I would probably use ffmpeg for this task today. If only because the software is still being maintained.
