Exporting MIDI or session drummer

I have a piece I made with session drummer and the drum map, but when I try to export it OR do a fade-out or fade-in, can't seem to do it. ANyone else have this problem?

I tried highlighting or selecting all the track and it still won't export. What's the deal?

Have you converted it to audio wave file? Because Midi will not fade or export

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!

Now you can enhance that by using a better sounding synth to play the track thru. Go to the audio track that you opened, and maximize it, go to it’s fx box and right, go to DXi instruments, and find Edirol VSC, click that. Edirol will pop up minimize it and go back to the midi track, find the output box, left click ant it should have the option of Edirol VSC, click on that, Hit play, it will sound pretty good. This same setup can be used for any softsynth that you have and there are many of them out there.

Now if you want the midi file to become a wave file, so you can add some real nice effects to it like compression or reverb, you can use the bounce to track feature. Go to edit/bounce to track, click that and a box will pop up, hit okay and a blue bar will proceed across the bottom of the screen. You will have a new track below the others, maximize it and right click the fx box and go to audio effects, find cakewalk reverb, click on that, go to presets and find concert, chose that and close the effect, then hit play and you have a drummer in a stadium. Have fun.

That's weird. I went to the effects and all I get is--S- drums, arpeggiator, quantize and echo delay. What's up with that?

I don't have a MIDI controller btw like a keyboard or synth--just the keyboard for typing...

Still not sure how to convert it though so I can export it...

I wonder if not registering that one has something to do with it?? Since the computer went down, I re-installed it and the whole register mess comes up again, which I tried and it just says--we already have it registered..

I'm gonna put a copy on my computer upstairs also to work up there, since downstairs sucks...

Those are the only MIDI effects Cakewalk has on the low cost versions. Greg

to get the edirol you have to open a audio track and then right click on the effects box in the audio track that you wil be playing the session drummer track through....clear as mud?

Yeah, about as clear as mud. :) I could try doing session drummer in an Audio track, IF it will allow that and then aplying Edirol.

    Isn't session drummer MIDI?

I still haven't figured out how to use EDirol and the plug-ins. Dang cheap software--taking all my effects and stuff I need! :)
