Exporting Markers into WAV files.

Is there anyway to get Sonar to export the Markers in a Sonar Project as part of the final wav mixdown file.

The Wav format  supports  Markers [and regions], and I can export such data with other DAWs recorders, but I cannot seem to figure out the trick to get Sonar to do it.  It would really big help.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean to Import back into SONAR or into some other DAW or CD Burning software?

    Yeah  exactly...

I have added a bunch of markers in my Sonar project to id points for use with an interactive project in development.

I have to manually re-add the markers to the exported audio in Sound Forge or Audition as cue markers and re-save the wav files out.

It would just been a big help if Sonar could markers, as WAV audio Cue Markers when it exports the audio.

It doesn't seem like it should be that much of leap since Cue Markers [and Region markers] are part of the WAV file spec, and many other DAWs can for the same thing [Vegas, Pro Tools, Audacity].

Add Adobe Audition to that list. You're right, it would be a simple enhancement and might be surprisingly useful to those of us who use external editors. I think you should submit it as an enhancement request. It's too late to make it into S9's feature set, but it might get added to the wishlist for S10.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I am curious about this as well, since I have not seen a way to do so. I have, however, imported stems into SONAR that imported markers as well, so SONAR does read them in. I have not specifically hunted for this within SONAR though.

In Adobe Audition, there is a simple "Include Markers and other Metadata" checkbox during export, and the possible metadata options are rather huge for a wav file (4 tabs worth of fields that can be embedded on export).

I had no idea this was possible within a DAW!  What a great feature addition this would be.  It would be enormously valuable for much of my work.
