Exporting Video

I have a WAV created in Producer 8.5.  I'm trying to attach a JPG and export this as a video.  Not an exciting video, just music with a photo showing, but a video nonetheless.
When I import the audio and jpg, the video plays in the window with the time scrolling by, just as it should.  However, when I Ctrl-A and export, nothing seems to work.  The PC processes for a few minutes, and then i get a failure message noting that I may not have the appropriate codecs.

The Help section doesn't seem to offer any usefull advice.  Can anyone advise on suitable export settings, or where I'm going wrong?

The best advice would be: always edit and author/finish a video project from a video app. Just export the easiest-to-work-with type of reference file from your video app and then work on the music/sound FX/Foley/ADR in Sonar. Then, ONLY export the MUSIC/AUDIO from Sonar and import that back into your video app. If sync is an issue, sometimes it can help to add a "clapper" sound reference to your video's audio track, and use that to align your tracks in the various apps.

And do all your conversions, formatting, compression and transcoding in your video app- don't ask Sonar to mess with that kind of stuff! Just find the most comfortable-for-Sonar-and-yur-puter video format, and export THAT from your video app, and work on the audio for that in Sonar.

Sonar is a fantastic music app- just keep it only doing what it does well! Always finish and author a video project in a video app.

    Thanks guys.
I guess everyone has one Sonar use that gets misrepresented.
