Extended offer 12/7 Prochannel

I am tempted to get this package, the Prochannel Pack.

I have X3 professional.
 
My questions are:
 
Is it as good as similar Waves products? (even close enough would do).
 
Is it Cakewalk code that I can license in the normal Cakewalk way, or is it some joint venture like Celemony or Addictive? I really do not want to do business with add on companies. I really resent the constant barrage of "offers" I get from Celemony, and the extremely bad license system they use. I won't even bother to load Addictive Drums because I don't want to deal with the Addictive, I only want one vendor.

    They are quality plug-ins provided by Cakewalk. No third party licenses involved.

    I have not used Waves, so cannot speak to comparisons, but have had these a while now and CA2A and Concrete Limiter get the most use.
     
    These are Cakewalk PC modules, so yes, they are licensed in the "normal Cakewalk way."

    The Ca2a is every bit as good as the waves emulation and the Concrete limiter is probably comparable or even better than L1 in some ways ( the ability to soft limit just the low end independent of the rest )
    The gate is one of the best I've used and even the default settings seem to be appropriate for most things, very flexible and powerful when used with taste.

    To echo what I said before, I think CA2A is great and if you don't already have the Waves CLA series or something comparable you'll definitely like it. Concrete Limiter is definitely not bad, but doesn't get as much use from me. I don't really like the others but that's just my opinion. Others have disagreed.
    Still a good deal.

    The CA2A is better than the Waves version because it allows sidechaining. Last time I demo'ed the Waves LA2A plugin, it did not allow sidechaining. This is a no-brainer to go with the CA2A.

    That was probably because Sonar didn't support VST3 then, which is necessary for 3rd party side chaining. Waves LA2A supports side chaining as VST3. That said, I got the Cake version before the Waves one and am still using it because I like it. Haven't spent hours A/Bing though.
