like the way the melody is set by the vocal. understated rhythm guitar, drums are perhaps a little too 'big' for the mix as is now, but i don't know how you intend to fill it out, but are very well played/programmed. great start!

Hey Doug,
Long time no hear. Love the chord progression and your vocal delievery. This tune really has a nice easy to listen flow to it. I hope that made sense. My only nit are the drums sound to be sitting a bit forward in the mix. Really a well written/performed piece. KUDOS, my friend!

Doug, I'm with Kev on the drums up front. I would bring the vocals up front and pan them with a hint of verb, but other than that the song is awesome. Thanks for sharing. John

Same here on the drums comments. I also agree with rockinrobby about adding an electric guitar to add a bit more to the composition.

This has a really cool groove to it. Almost trance-like. One thing I always like about your stuff is the vocal melody is always very connected to the music. Others have commented already the mix and I agree with most the points, but the main thing is you've got a nice tune here to work with so there's lots of directions you can take it. Good stuff!!

I hate being the odd ball but i like the drums...give it a more live feel and it's a cool groove.

I like the drums too... but then I'm known for liking rhythmic beats. The guitar has nice full vibe, and the melody is catchy. An early 70s vibe.

Add another to list of drum likers. Bass could use some taming and more definition, it kinda mushes up the whole soudscape a bit. Guitars could use a little high shelf for sparkle maybe, but hard to tell with the bass the way it is. Tom fill at the end feels like the drummer just gave up lol, could use some tightening. Great mood and vocals though, very cool song!

I thought this tune sounded cool but the drums were alittle over the top , the drums sounded great but too loud in the mix .
