Extremely slow download speed
I just purchased the Sonar Platinum upgrade and tried downloading using CC. The speed was pathetic so I tried downloading directly from the account. Turns out the speed is as low as 25kb/sec. At this rate it will take a few days to download the whole stuff. I checked my network connectivity, tried downloads from other websites. I am on a 4mbps broadband. I see download speeds around 300 to 400kbps on other websites. Going through the forum I see that people have faced this issue in the past. Not sure though how long the issue is going to persist. It just kills the excitement when you buy something new and you can't download it !

I believe the downloaders all come from Amazon servers.
Win 10 Pro x64, 32Gb DDR3 ram, Sonar Platinum, Cubase 9.5, Mackie MCU Pro, Cakewalk VS 100, Roland Octa-Capture, A 800 Pro, Carver M-1.5t amp & C4000 pre amp, various mics, drums and brass instruments. And away we go!

You should contact your ISP and have them test your line, in case there is a problem.
People who live in the sticks complain more about the size of the files than the speed (i am one of them).
Your rates are not especially fast - on a good day my ISP can match that, but at present its around 150 to 200kb/sec for any d/load, consider yourself lucky - I live in France. Depending where you live, the rate can vary.
Just leave it on overnight.
Cheers, Jerry

I get a 400kbps if i download something from other sites. A speed test shows a 4Mbps download speed. So can't blame the ISP. I live in India.

Sorry to hear that. This can be a tricky issue to diagnose. One thing that can help is to try something like visual route. I believe they have a free trial or a web version. Having logs of any slow hops definitely helps when dealing with ISP, etc. Keith

I just speed tested at 31 Mbps. I just bought sonar platinum. I'm downloading the drum workshop video and after 20 minutes am only at 2% done.....ridiculous! I haven't even started Sonar...it'll be a month before I can use it. I may cancel. Update: I just figured out I can download from the Cakewalk site! It'll only be 5 hours not a month much better but still to slow for a 306 MB download. Update 2: After downloading for over an hour download network failed...had to start it over from the beginning...the fastest it'll download is 30 Kbps, it fluctuates wildly and stops quite a bit says I have 6 hours to go. I have a feeling I may not be getting this anytime soon! If ever. My computer says i'm connected to the internet at 72 Mbps. Speak easy speed test says my download is 30 Mbps. Quite a bottleneck somewhere. After 3 hours my advanced workshop modern drums downloading through command center is now at 20% yay! Update 3: Chrome says file 305.69 Mb is finished. File in folder says 179 Mb and file won't open because it is corrupted! 6 hours in and nothing!!!! Advanced workshop modern drums downloading through command center is now at 41.69% yay! Update 4: 2 days later and I'm at 19% downloading through command center!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went to Melodynes site, downloaded the demo at 400kbs!!! Got it in 3 to 5 minutes, 130 Mbs or so!!!! Typed in my license number. Up and running! Contacted Cakewalk support Sunday about this, left a support request and still haven't heard from them. This is like ordering a pizza, them showing up 4 hours later with it cold and crusty!! Amateur hour.

Well it's 2.64Gb after decompression. However with MP4 it wasn't likely to compress that much.

Not to make light of your issue, well maybe..... The d/l speed is faster than driving to Boston to pick up the media... It looks like they(Amazon, not CW) will have to set the troubleshooters loose.

No hover car yet, so driving to Boston from India is going to be rough.
ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
