Thanks for the Heads Up - do you know if any "new" midi stuff is included with the electrics upgrade? Just listened to the demos and they sound all right but I think I probably have more than enough Rhodes / Wurlitzer emulations as it is - in fact even though I am a very long term Addictive Drums users I have TOTALLY resisted the temptations of Addictive Keys precisely for that reason!! Now if there was specific midi for use with electric pianos etc, that would be difficult to resist!! Cheers Nigel

This is the EzKeys line at the moment http://www.toontrack.com/products.asp#EZkeysLine 'Each EZkeys contains the same software including all functionality as well as the extensive standard MIDI library.'

Has EZ Keys a MIDI out? If so you could direct the MIDI to any other VSTi

Glyn Barnes Has EZ Keys a MIDI out? If so you could direct the MIDI to any other VSTi No. You can drag and drop from the EZKeys browser and it becomes standard midi format able to be used by any midi instrument. EDIT: I would like to correct my misinformation. EZkeys 1.1.1 has midi out.

That's what I do (a lot) with both EZKeys MIDI and Drum MIDI.. I can use the MIDI from Addictive Drums, SSD, EZDrummer, Session Drummer, with any other drum software interchangeably...same with the Keyboards....drag and drop to the track then change the Synth and edit accordingly...

Quite surprisingly, AD hasn't posted this yet... Usually they are right on top of new stuff from Toontrack..

In case anyone doesn't see my edited post, EZkeys 1.1.1 now includes a midi out. Sorry, I spoke before I checked. I don't ever use that feature and I forgot that it had been added on the last update.

Had it confirmed, no Electric Package specific Midi, just the stuff you already get with Ezkeys (or have purchased) I have enough good Electric Pianos I shall not be bothering with this. I do think Toontrack have missed a real marketing opportunity here - no Midi, you're just another EP emulation - with Midi, sold as a package, like SDX is for Superior Drummer, you are different!! Shame Nigel

Thanks for this. I too was wondering if they had midi as I don't really need new electric piano sounds either. I DO need midi though. :-)

bluzdog What are you guys using for electric piano? Rocky NI's Scarbee Vintage Keys for Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet, Hollow Sun for Yamaha CP70 and Hollow Sun or Shabby Chic Samples for RMI pianos and occasionally Sampltekk for Horner Pianet (All require Kontakt). The Scarbee Wurly probably gets used the most. Edit - Overloud's VKFX effects plug in adds any remaining spice required.

Mod Bod In case anyone doesn't see my edited post, EZkeys 1.1.1 now includes a midi out. Sorry, I spoke before I checked. I don't ever use that feature and I forgot that it had been added on the last update. Thanks, I have not bought EzKeys. Being able to use my favorite piano sounds when arranging and auditioning makes it more appealing. I have one further question, I assume the MIDI patterns are just straightforward MIDI files so its possible to add your own patterns and vamps and use EzKeys to experiment with chord progressions? edit - Of course it does. I just checked the Toontrack site.
