FF400 Scare

This threw me for a loop, so thought I'd post about it, just on the off-chance anyone else experiences it. Was recording with Sonar, then went to open a Project and mix it down to audio, but Sonar couldn't find my main Fireface400 outputs. Tried various things, but couldn't get them to register, so I finally rebooted. Computer blue-screened while attempting to reboot. Repeated attempts at rebooting would only lead to more blue-screens. Finally unplugged the power from the FF400, and the computer booted normally. After several more failed attempts at starting the computer with the FF400 attached, I booted up my computer with the FF400 power cable unplugged. Then, once the computer was up, I plugged in the power to the FF400, and hit the "Read Flash" button in the Fireface settings. (Luckily, I had hit "Store in Flash" for my favorite setting, probably a year+ ago.) That fixed the problem. I had to reboot my machine one more time, but then everything was back to normal. I have no idea what happened. I have no idea how settings in my FF400 could cause my computer to blue-screen while attempting to boot Windows. I have no idea how reloading my settings from the flash memory cleared up the problem. But everything is happy again, and I'm back to normal. So while I don't understand any of this, I thought I'd post about it, just on the off-chance it saves someone else from the utter panic I felt when I thought my FF400 had completely died on me....
