FLATHEAD FORD (Rockabilly) (The drums have been cranked-up --- a bit)
February 9, 2013 ---- WMNF's 10th Annual Rockabilly Ruckus. I may be square but I was there. Some good bands and music, and those cat were layin' down some hot licks. I only stayed to see about 4 or 5 of the bands but I did get inspired to listen to more rockabilly when I got home. All that listening resulted in the number linked below. It is nothing too heavy or certainly not an artistic masterpiece. After all it is rockabilly and it's supposed to be fun. I hope it gets you to boppin' and maybe brings on a smile. As always comments, crit's, and suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for listening. Flathead Ford http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=963481 Freddy J

Bahahahaha.. nice. Mix wise, either bring the drums up, or the bass down. Right now it sounds like you have stuck the poor drummer way to the back of the stage all by his lonesome.

Hi Shad: Thanks for the input. I moved the drummer's kit up to the front of the stage a bit. Does this work any better? Hey Scotty, how are you? I very much appreciate the feedback. Hello Robby!!! I hear ya. I pumped the drums up a bit. Hopefully, this is better. Thanks for pointing this out. Hi Mark. I'm glad you enjoyed it buddy. Thanks for the kind words. Thank you Frank. I kinda like the genre myself. It is even better when you hear it live. I'm partial to rhythm and good rockabilly is nothing but rhythm --- except for the rest of it ;>)

"Except for the rest of it" - lol - I like that. I may use that, hope you don't mind. The drums are close. I might go a smidge more... not too much, but a smidge. I just love the way this grabs you from bar one.

man im really liking this.great groove to it. this is why i like the song forum so much, there is such a great veriety of styles. the guitar solo is really cool.as are the harmonies. kept it perfectly under 3 mins.in my opinion thats the perfect commericial lenth. im not a huge rockabilly fan,but i studied it a bit in my travels as its a critial part of the music tree. i enjoyed this, thank you for the listen.

The drums could be a tad louder, but overall, this rocks and makes me happy. The vocal and guitar are right on! Good job, Freddy.
