FPT Format MC 4

I am using MC version 4 on a laptop running XP with a Lexicon Omega. I realize that I REALLY need to update my rig.

My issue is that I was part of a project that was recorded a few months ago in another state and the guy who recorded it does not want to complete the project. He said he would export the project to me using an FTP. He was using Logic for the recording, not sure of the version.

Does anyone know if I can do this with CW4, and which format to use? Does the new MC allow this if MC 4 won't? He gave me a choice of 3 formats. The formats he gave me to choose from are:
*omf (interleaved or split stereo)
*open TL (tascam open track list) and
*final cut (XML)
I've never done this before and no very little about it. Any help would be appreciated.

none of those choices will work.  he needs to export each track as a wave file.  then you can import each track into MC.

So MC4 doesn't support omf though SONAR does?

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

yeah.... just ask him to export them as waves. He can use any of the free file servers or an FTP and send them to you.

Load them in and have fun.

BTW: forget that "outdated computer thing"....I built a custom DAW several years back when W7 was out. I intentionally loaded it with XP/32 and it works just fine.

If it ain't broke, it don't need fixing.
