FX Bus Problem in Project Template
I figure I must be missing something, but I can't figure out what. I have created a project template that includes busses for submixing and busses for FX. When I start a new project using the template the busses for submix work as expected. These are fed from track outputs. However, the FX busses, which are fed from sends, don't seem to receive any signal from the sends. I have checked to be sure the sends are on and that the send level is adequate, still no signal reaches the FX bus. If I feed the FX bus directly from the track output it still receives no signal. If I delete the FX bus and then add a new one with all of the same settings, it works fine - signal from the sends show up and are processed as expected. Is there something in the project template that I could be overlooking that is causing this behavior? I have recreated the template, making sure the sends were present and re-saved it, but the same behavior occurs when I start a new project with the newly saved template. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

when you click on the send to look at its routing name. do you still see it being routed to the correct bus ?

Yes, I have and it is. I have also tried routing it to other FX busses but no signal reaches any of them.

im guessing something became corrupt in the template you are using. have you tried creating a new test template to compare the changes ? see if a new template works ? this happens sometimes. not often but it does happen.

I have deleted and recreated the FX Buses and re-saved the template with the same result. I will try building a new template from scratch and see if the condition reoccurs. It sounds, however, like you believe this is an anomaly and that these buses should be expected to work when the project template is used for a new project. I am relieved to hear that, now it's just a matter of figuring out why I'm having the issue. Thanks.

I created a new project 1 audio track 1 Buss for reverb on the audio track I made a send to the reverb bus. Saved it as a template Started a new project using this as the template and it all was connected and ready to go.... Is that what you have done? Hope this helps Rafone

Well, the good advice here was 'start simple'. So, I did a one track template with FX bus (as you describe) and it works as expected. I will probably start building the template in smaller increments, a few tracks at a time, checking as I go to make sure it all continues to perform after being saved and used for a new project. Thanks.
