FX Chain Modul for ProChannel - Good Idea?

Hello,

i had a great idea, but i don't know if somebody mentioned that already.

What about a ProChannel module for FX Chains, like this:

I am no programmer and i don't know if it is possible to realize something like that, but it would be cool to have it.
So we could add VST Effects to the ProChannel.

Cheers,
snaut

That's what the FX BIN is for.

I don't understand all this clamoring for "modules" within the Pro Channel when we can already do all that and more - now, as is, with the FX Bin.

Someone please enlighten me to what I'm not getting about this hoopla for PC modules.

It would be helpful to combine Pro Channel effects with VST effects. With quick accessibility.

But if they would give us the PC Modules as VST effects, i would use the FX Bin, too.

I would actually prefer the PC to be split off from the "Inspector" (perhaps make the PC itself a VST plugin as you suggest) because as it is now, it takes more "clicking around".

Example:    I make an adjustment to the PC - which means I first have to click the PC "tab" in the inspector.    Next I want to adjust the output level of that track, so I have to click up top to the PC tab to unselect it, so the inspector now reveals the OTHER controls such as Volume, Bussing, Pan, Solo,Mute, etc.

To me that's just a waste of clicks/gesturing.

Even better would be to have the PC be a "fly-out" module so one could still access the regular controls (volume, pan, etc) and be able to access the PC controls as well.

As it is, it just seems like poor design to me.

I use the PC in Console View. There you have both, the PC and the track controls.

Yes, that works better, but if you're doing a lot of work within the Track View, it gets real annoying to have to constantly click on various tabs to get to the most basic elements.
