FX Chains - Background alignment and stretching changed X1d -> X2a.

I created FX Chain in X1d. Background image is perfectly where I want it to be:

Now the same preset in X2a - note how background image is stretched; input and Output texts are in wrong position, soldier head has been stretched and and background image is spilling at the very bottom of the window:

Additionally:
X1d can show "Presence" text entirely.
X2a shows only "Prese...".
 
Any Bakers out there? Is X2a design here to stay? Image stretching has been changed so much that is is not possible to make FX chains that look good in both X1 and X2.  I hope X2a style is a bug and X1d is the correct way to show background image but anything goes as long as behavior does not change all the time!
