BTW in the context of the original thread, I'm pretty sure that I added ACT support for the individual plugins in an FX chain in X3d or  X3E. You have to open the plugin UI and give it focus for it to work. Its been awhile since I looked at that so maybe I'm dreaming :)

UM...UM...why was I not informed of this? LOL!

ACT seems like a *really* cool idea - but it's sorta fragile and often times confusing.

To me it needs a few more tweaks and ways to specify EXACTLY what I want than it guessing what I want (MS syndrome).  I'd personally rather edit a text file, but the way it stores stuff (sometime it gets corrupt) in an xml file precludes that.

It works, Noel. It didn't for a while, but it does now. :-) You kinda slipped it in on us quietly without saying anything. I remember Scook pointing it out to me that it now works and I was like, Really?? haha. It made it possible for me to use my pedals with TH2 while having TH2 in the Pro Channel, so I was psyched.

I do have a video in my signature on using a midi controller with TH2 using ACT.

It does not work for me... X3e, fresh reinstalled the patch to be sure. Selecting/opening UI of effect in PC FX Chain does not change ACT focus (whatever was selected before is still receiving ACT).

Do I miss some "trick" or I just have "bad luck"?

Ah good,

I had this issue bugged up in the "fix if time" category.
Now I can scratch that one.

Y'all should fix that. ;-)

Ok as promised for the OP.

The ACT mapping files are found in "C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\ACT Data

Depending on your installs you'll find several files there that you can rename ie. add "bak" or something like that to them. You will of course lose any settings you already have but you can always delete the replacement and rename the original should that not prove to be the issue.
