Factory Yoyo Presents: Thank you to my CW Song Forum friends
I hope to see you all in the new forum, but if not, I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for your friendship over the past eleven or so years I have been a member. My posting was intense for a long while, but sporadic at best the past few. Life's funny that way.
Despite a few run-ins, I have greatly enjoyed and benefited from knowing you all (in an Internet-type of knowing you, of course). For a long time, Y'all were my audience when I was writing and recording, as I longed for your respect and hopefully your enjoyment/appreciation of my tracks.
A few shout outs to some of the greats of this forum, who may or may not even see this post, but should be remembered for making this forum so special:
Bob Oister, for relentless positivity and sledgehammer licks.
Rocking Robbie, for his many humorous bannings and subsequent reincarnations. And his great voice.
Twisted6s, Tony P., for his encouragement and sheer musical heaviness.
Ed Edge, a great singer.
Our dear departed Jimmy Gentry, a wonderful soul.
Frank T., the master guitarist.
Geno P., a super dude and ax-slinger.
The Slow Marching Band boys, always a treat to hear their stuff, and individually as well.
Whack, my brother Cian McG., as good a collaborator as I have worked with.
Philip, a brave musical visionary.
Herb the Guitarhacker, such a solid man.
Timidi, one of the best musicians on this board.
Markno999, a true smart player.
Lynn, for his earthy tones.
Janet W., the finest piano playing woman in Kansas.
Daryl Crowley, whose guitar playing would give the Doobie Bros a run for their money.
Philz, my long island brother.
Mark Clean, a true gent.
Distant Towers gang, a true inspiration for me.
Warren Willingham, hope you're still out there!
And anyone else who may have slipped my mind: no slight intended!
Happy New Year and hope you all have a super 2019.
Jim Yoyo
