Factory Yoyo is back with a Halloween track
Hey everybody. Long time since I have posted. Sorry I have been such a forum party pooper these last few months but the assorted trials of Life caught up to me for a spell... Anyhoo... Here is a tune I started with X2 and finished in X3. Since all of America is infatuated with The Walking Dead, here is a more playful and funky take on zombies. Crypt (Zombies want to get down)

Hello James GREAT tune! This has a strong Oingo Boingo (Weird Science) meets the Bee Gees vibe that I DIG! That is some fine work on the vox and effects. The mix has a nice balance and is sounding great on my end. If I had to nit I would say its a bit long. Maybe would of ended it at 3:18. GREAT job on making Halloween funky. Kev

James, Very cool vibe for a Halloween tune. Kicks in nicely and some spoooooooooooky vocals. Nicely arranged, cool vocals and everything fits together nicely into the mix. Great work. Love it! Peace and Blessings, John

This is production at its finest and its good see the big J hitting up a few tunes again. I've listened to it a few times and I love the chorus part which is very memorable. The bass sounds in particular and the brass riffs just feel soooo right! In terms of the vocal low mids, isnt that the point of the deep voice?! I love it, no problem there. Bringing the fun back to Halloween. Cian

Supercool funk! Nice clear and punchy mix. You definitely pulled all registers of funkyness. Can't put my finger on it, but I think the vocals could be a bit more in the pocket mix wise (for my (incompetent) ears). The performance is great!!! This should be a dance floor filler on any Halloween party. Cheers

Thanks guys. Good to be back! I hope to spend some time this weekend checking out your stuff. Noisy Neighbour S Can't put my finger on it, but I think the vocals could be a bit more in the pocket mix wise (for my (incompetent) ears).
Frequency-wise or rhythmically? I haven't re-done my vocal booth so I can't get a lot of the misc. frequencies out without crushing the feel of the vocal.

The vocals are great!!! Nothing wrong with the performance. Please don't let me spoil the party! It was my very first impression that the voice jumps out of the speakers just a little too much when it kicks in. Could be volume or frequency... just a little more embedded into the (funktastic) music. like I said that was just my impression. I really like this track a lot and it definitely works the way it is. : )

Great song / production. Everything is done so well. Super tight bass, great organ sound, and the horns are very convincing. A lot of different reverb settings working together.

Thanks Geno. They should be convincing as they are real horns that I completely restructured with Melodyne Editor (for those of you who got the Essential version with X3, spend the $99 and get the Editor. So much you can do with it.)

Ha, fun tune! I hope that being back signals an uptick in your fortunes, buddy!! I know that the storms messed you up and have thought about you. This song is really nicely done. We also did a zombie tune this year but yours is an upbeat tune that creates a lot of fun. Love the lyrics and the funk sound.
