Factory Yoyo presents: "Blipp's Bangalore Adventure"
In honour of Blipp's return, I threw something together yesterday for him (and you all!) to hear. A pastiche of techno, trance, indian, world, club, more driving than Blipp's stuff, but an homage none the less. http://soundcloud.com/hammertoe/blipps-bangalore-adventure

Hey it starts out with you giving Blipp the raspberry! LOL That just reminded me I have to get some pastiche ice cream for my wife for Mother's day. Dude, what are you on? This is definitely a diverse tune, a tune Blipp can get regeneration from. Some driving stuff in there for sure. My Grandson (2yrs) is sitting on my lap just laughing and moving to the different sounds. That sold me!

You drove me to Websters... And that's not easy to do!! U got me with the tabla. The whole tune sounds "Blippesque :-)" A fine homage... pas·tiche noun \pas-ˈtēsh, päs-\ Definition of PASTICHE 1 : a literary, artistic, musical, or architectural work that imitates the style of previous work; also : such stylistic imitation 2 a : a musical, literary, or artistic composition made up of selections from different works : potpourrib : hodgepodge

I think the way that driving kick and guitar come in is way cool.

This would definately fit into Blipp's "world instruments" album. Interesting. I like the stutter on the male vox, how did you do that?

What a wonderful, creative imagination you have, James. Why you're not huge in the music industry I'll never know. This is the kind of music that I'll listen to a number of times. Bravo.

For a track without a vocal hook, this song certainly keeps interest the whole way through, superbly crafted Jim. The world style really done this for me, slum dog millionaire soundtrack! Cian

Love the waveform - haha! Very blippish indeed. Is there some effected-out guitar in there, or all synth/samples??

Thanks everyone. This is actually just a samplefest: I did nothing but construct it (hence why it only took a day!), eq it and add some reverbs.

Interesting work... I really enjoyed listening to it as all of your fine work, James. This fits into the Blipp style genre, and had many great characteristics and qualities to it, but not quite like the Blippster! Great stuff, though and a very worthy welcoming of Blipps' return. Now If only I could find some time to return to this wonderful art form called music ! It's nice to know that so many of you are still at it and it makes my day to come back and listen. Thanks for sharing!

Because I don't 'understand' ambience music, I'll state: I like this, like Blipp's stuff. But, this requires a movie or something to buffer-pad something more dominant. That said: Exquisite ambience sketch ... I saw the final tidal waveform coming and it didn't disappoint. ... still, I expect more 'clamborings' and vocal conviction for a robust future version ... else a 'Western' Indian movie section for this to cleave into.

Frreddie: Thanks bro. Frank: The loops were almost all from the Zero G sample collection that I think I got for $10. Philip: Sometimes you just need something for the background!

Background my TUSHIE! I'm dancing, man! :) James, I may be in the minority here (Ok, I KNOW I am) but I sure don't mind a track full of samples. It's all in how you USE them.
