Aw cool - being in Europe.

Shame about Jim, he's a character to see as well as hear. Did you hear who's on axes? Dean Menta?

Anyway, I hope they put in some enthusiasm, and are not only doing it for the cash.... they *can* be a great live act.

Founding members bassist Billy Gould, drummer Mike Bordin and keyboardist Roddy Bottum are all back, as is singer Mike Patton, who took over vocal duties after Chuck Mosely departed in 1988. The notable absence in the band’s lineup is sunglasses-sporting guitarist Jim Martin, who was a member of their band during from 1984 to 1993, an era that encompassed their platinum album The Real Thing and gold follow-up Angel Dust. In Martin’s place will be guitarist Jon Hudson, who joined the band in 1997.

First time I read the title I was sure it said 'urinating' for summer tour. Please tell me it did otherwise my medication must need adjustment.

Angel Dust is an incredible album - very creative. That's the only one of theirs I really got in to. Saw them open up for Robert Plant around '90 or '91 and they were pretty good but they had about 3 feet of room on the stage so they were pretty cramped.

The Real Thing and Angel Dust are outstanding, King for a Day and Album of the Year not so much. I'd say that Angel Dust is one best sounding albums of all time. Everything justs sounds so clean and pure on it. Definitely gets used as reference material.

I suppose a lot of people get overexposed to Epic since they seem to play it 4-5 times a day on rock radio (even today). I guess it's their Stairway to Heaven...Patton (the singer) acted like a **** sometimes but it didn't really bother me...

I thought Epic was well, ....Epic, but it seemed all downhill with later albums

And yes I agree that Michael Patton was a peculiarly strange fella.

I even got that self-titled Mr Bungle too, man that album is really out there, totally defies the logic of what is mainstream!

C'mon who in there right mind could get away with a line like "Squeeze me macaroni.......(can't repeat the rest )

Kerrang magazine listed the album #1 on their most influential albums list back in 2003.

Slap? I thought it was “slop… (I could have repeated it, guess I just chose to restrain my unusual sense of humor on that particular day, probably funnier that you finished the phrase) And yes I agree, a totally kicking album!

I use to know a guy who could recite all the words to that album when it first came out and as it played, it was rather amusing! There had to be written lyrics included, for if not I can’t see how he understood what seemed to me to be that “Pattonesque” trademark gibberish at times. Could you imagine a singer bringing you lyrics from a song like that and then ask you to write music to em’?

& I gots to check out that Angel Dust album, as me thinks I don’t have that one.

But I leave you with this note…..

    Dee-dee-dee-doo di-di-dee-doo, Dee-dee-dee-doo di-di-dee-doo, Dee-dee-dee-doo di-di-dee-doo, Huh!-huh!-huh!-huh!

Yeah, talk about tall orders. To his credit, Mike apparently can play keyboards/bass sufficiently to get his ideas across as well. Never realised the bass player had such a big voice in the album's music dept., tho :

['The Angel Dust Sessions, 4 parts, pretty horrible sound quality - and the song you keep hearing in the later parts never made it onto the album as such, altho parts did get cannibalized]
