Fall Of Babylon The Great - Fresh of the Press

Here is one that is pretty dark and yet should give you a bit of a blast. This was a lot of work, so I hope you will enjoy this one. As always, all comments are welcomed.

    Hi John,

Nice job.  I feel the tension.  The depth is engrossing.  Arrangement and mix is spot on.  I like the breaks.  In the first section maybe too much sparatic percussion (looses some affect).  Very good choir arrangement!  I think the last section is a tad long unless you are fitting this music to video.

I wish I could create pieces like this.  The complexity is out of my league.

Rimshot, Thanks for the nice comments and the compliment, they are much appreciated. You to can produce music at this degree, it just takes time and patients, but most of all trial and error and keep plucking away and practicing. I use mostly samples in my work but do several instrumentations as well. It did not come over night, started at 12 years old and I'm 64 now. Time is all I have, being retired, so I have lots of time to do these pieces, arrange them and add all the mastering effects. I have created many presets that save me time, so all together everything seems to work for me. One other thing, a good computer is a must with a minimum of a TB of memory and fast processing, like CORE i7 280 and better. Thanks again.

Added a bit of reverb to this piece and a couple more drum effects and a couple of wooshes. Does the ending tail sound alright?

I've been trying to listen to this piece for days but keep on getting called away. But at last I have listened and been enthralled and mesmerised by the audacity of your musical vision. I could write a stream of superlatives to describe this fabulous creation but frankly none of them would ever adequately describe my awe of your compositional skills. All I can say is that I very much look forward to enjoying the music you create in the next 52 years!

Malcolmb, You are to kind, but I do appreciate your kind words and glad you enjoyed this arrangement. I try to mix things up so I might have a vessel to get people to read my messages with each song. For me it is more about the message than the composition. I not sure about another 52 years but would be blessed to make it another 30 years, being 64 at the present time. I like to look at my arrangements as my ministry, hoping to plant seeds of hope for those who read the little message I post with each piece. But anyway, Thanks for listening and glad you are one enjoying my gift.

Clint, Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed the piece. As to the male choir, those are called male choir samples and they are enhanced using Izotope Ozone 5, which with much patients and lost of time messing around with the software I created a preset for choirs and I titled it "My Sonic Cube" which I saved in the software preset panel. There is a lot involved in preset configuration that is to involved to talk about, but I hope this will help you understand what went in to the male choir creation, based on a simple sample.

Another great cinematic work here.  Love how the timpana's drive section.  Excellent mix w/ real depth.  And as said above, it needs a movie to go with it.  It fires up the old rods and cones as well as ears.

    good stuff.

"God scattered them upon the face of the Earth, and confused their languages, so that they would not be able to return to each other"

Pretty terrifying stuff?  To this day, I'm like "IN ENGLISH PLEASE!!??"

It's funny because most of the people who want to barge in to my country "illegally" have no desire to learn the language? Only to bust in, and take money from me, to spend for themselves? It's like the scene from the bible being played all over again?  Except with people saying GIMIE GIMIE GIMIE!!??

It's fun to rob Peter to pay Paul? Unless you are Peter... Then? Not so much... But if you're Paul, it rocks! Until there aren't enough Peters? And then it sucks again. Welcome (or Hola!) to the USA 20??

Yes Robbie, God scattered them, but now read Heb.11:13-16 for they will return to each other, but in the sight of God Himself, for they are and always have been His chosen people, so the world can learn from their mistakes. Plus, your  thinking of the Tower of Babel and I'm talking about Babylon the Great (Satin and his dominiom).

And, yes I agree with you that most people from other countries are pretty much set in their ways, and you too are set in your ways, especially in our countries language, which is English. Have you ever asked your self where did the English language come from? You maybe very much surprised as to all of it origins and the number of countries it involves.

As to the gimie, gimie, gimie, well how many Americans are all about the same, so those Americans have taught them the way of that kind of attitude.

If you don't rob Peter, but you owe Paul, ask him for some additional time to pay him, or maybe, just maybe if you have a good reason you can't pay him, he just might understand and forgive you your debt or let you work it off or write him a song. Where  there is a will, there is always a way.

Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed this one. Hope you will stay tuned in for more.

    Peace and Blessings, John
