Fantom VS Editor

I've downloaded the latest version (which comes out as 1.1.0.1 when installed) and when starting it states:
Help VS Editor Manual and refer to 7,
If the display indicates "Unable to read/write data"
 
From what I can see, there is no way I can run this as a softsynth and requires hardware - correct?
(which case I should uninstall).

Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed.
@48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    that is the editor for the Roland synth that comes w/ the 700 series interface.  If you don't have the hardware, you are correct, you don't need the software.
