Farewell cruel world!

That's it.  I'm done.  It's over.  Time to pull the plug.

Pffft.....I thought the clown would never leave! Now, what were we talking about back on 1/27/2009 when he so rudely interrupted what I remember to be a scintillating conversation about Bjork?

Moving is one of the worst things you can ever have to do. When you're young, it really isn't a problem and may even be fun but the older you get the more it becomes horrible. I hope you find stuff you've been looking for and get rid of stuff that is just clutter!
Looking forward to a good report!

The only good thing in moving house is the opportunity to justly say:
"Do I really own this much?"

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

... and if you don't just get rid of it all now you'll just have to move it all over again the next time you move.

I say sell it all and buy an RV where you can 1) go anywhere you want anytime you want, and 2) you can't take all that stuff with you so you won't ever have to worry about moving it ever again.

That's my plan, anyway!

P.S. Why does everyone always address the cruel world with "farewell"? The last thing I would wish on something cruel is faring well. I think it's time for the despondent and weary to coin a new phrase.

I thought the standard phrase was "goodbye cruel world".  I may be wrong,  but it's unlikely...

No problem, I will help you, I'll handle the downtime for you. That is easy for me. I know nothing will happen here.
Consider it done.

But you'll have to pull the plug and put it into a new socket once you have moved.
Downtime will be over.
Things will get better,
sincerely meant...

Wow.  I FINALLY have internet again!  (Along with two bad knees and a corrupt 3TB hard drive still.)  The move took FAR longer than it should and the truck & van cost four times as much as I had anticipated.  At least I don't have to worry about anyone stealing my money now.

Looks like absolutely nothing happened here while I was gone either.

I avoided even viewing this thread out of fear it may be some kind of suicidal cry for help (it's happened on forums before so not that farfetched).  being that i don't know or interact with craig enough to feel confident in being able to "talk him down", i feared I would at least try and fail miserably and be part of the cause of his demise and be plagued by guilt.  After seeing many other posts from him, I figured that was not the case.  yes, i over-thought the heck out of that!
