Fast export
When exporting tracks, wave files. Is fast exporting ok to do? I mean quality wise and everything the same as real time exporting?

Unless you are using external hardware or soft synths that do not handle fast export, fast export is fine. There will be no quality difference between fast and real time export.

However, all plugins can't handle fast bounces/exports.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Like BFD2 for example But for everything else, Fast Export is absolutely fine

Then you SHOULD be absolutely fine to go with Fast Export. Reimport them into Sonar and have a good listen

I always use FAST EXPORT and it works well. I think whether it works well or not is greatly dependent on the computer and it's ability to handle the load. I've heard that some programs prefer the slow bounce/export but in my machine, everything seems to chug along fine in the fast mode. I do tend to process the audio to an uneffected wave when I finish with that plug in in the track..... maybe that helps too in the final export/bounce, and I'm sure it does. (mainly Melodyne Editor since it's the only plug I process out. All other FX are left in the bins) Opt to use fast export first. Listen to the track it produces in a third party editor. If it sounds good, it's good. If there are issues or glitches of some sort or another export again using the slow method. Whether it's a track or the entire project...ALWAYS check the bounce or export before moving along to the next thing. I have noticed occasional volume level glitches when processing melodyne. I back up and undo it, and process again and check if I see issues. If the second fast process has the same problems, I will, at that time, slow process it. Needing to slow process is rare. I sometimes will select the slow export if I need to go downstairs and get something from the kitchen since that takes a few minutes. But in reality, slow bounce sounds no different than the fast bounce. So go fast the first time around.

I've found fast export will sometimes not process envelopes. Sometimes on real time export too. More and more I mix back to a stereo track through my mixer. I know that works.

I guess ignorance is bliss. I was unaware that there was even an option. All I know is it takes about 30 sec to export a 3 min song. If the export goes super fast I know I blew it and forgot to select the whole project. I have never had an export sound different than what played in Sonar. My export count must be within the hundreds by now.
