Favourite Delay?

Just requesting some thoughts on your favourite delay (vst) and reasons. Might dip into the market or maybe it's one i've got it already (unlikely as i haven't got many!).

    Has to be Soundtoys Echoboy.

The more I use it the more I love it.  Does everything, single delay, ping-pongs, etc.  Absolutely love it.  Great value for money.

Benny ----- depends.  DO you mean just "delay or generally effect antics?   Big difference.

    FabFIlter's Time Machine.
    Sugar Bytes' Effectrix.
Ugh so many - really.  That's the beautfy of all this "stuff" we have or can have....  it's endless possibilities.

SO what exactly are you hoping to "get" in a potential purchase?

PS - keep in mind that SOME of the bundled plugins with Sonar (the newer 64bit stuff for percussion and vox, for example) can be handy.   THere will always be "3rd party stuff" that -- generally - may blow away the bundled stuff - but that's to each user's own sense of things to decide.

Plus one for the ECHO BOY but if you want to emulate specific hardware, can't lose with UAD ECHOPLEX and ROLAND Space Echo.

Want a good freebie? Try Bootsie's new NastyDLA. It does have a few issues at the moment, being version 1.0, but the author is good about fixing problems as they arise.

I have and use about 9 different digital delays and each one is used for different situations.
I use the one that I think best firts the song at hand.

It comes in a RAR file, so you'll need some kind of program that can extract from RAR files. I use a free application called ALZip for that. After extracting NastyDLA.dll, copy it into your VST folder (e.g. c:\program files\cakewalk\vstplugins) and then open the plugin manager in SONAR and click the Scan button.

I can't get nasty to work in 64bit. It lives up to it's name and keeps hard crashing. This is using jbridge but that's the only way I can get it to work.
Anyone else using it in windows 7 sonar 64bit and having troubles?

Should add, the issue I'm having is when changing pre-sets whilst playback is in progress. This causes a complete crash of sonar so I have to force it to close.
