Feature request: Full screen mode
Hey! Now that Sonar X1 Expanded really is starting to shine I would like to flag for one of my oldest desires in the world of Sonar. A Full Screen mode that hides the title bar and the menu (thats 44 pixels and the Windows taskbar. Thats another 30 pixels. A total of 74 vertical pixels that be used for tracks etc (three tracks=78 vertical pixels). I just want to get rid of things everything that I find distracting. And yes, I know you can hide the Windows taskbar manually. /M

FR it. That was the one thing I used to use Sonar Plus for and would be a welcome addition to standard for me as well. Hopefully Benstat is already persuading the powers to be that it's a good idea.

When it comes to handling multiple monitors and window management, there's nothing better than actualtool's actual window manager. I'm so happy to have it bought. It lets you remove title bar and resize frame of windows, too. ;)

Windows 8 seem to have a huge focus on running programs in full screen mode so I'm sure it will arrive sooner or later. Since screen space is so valuable in a DAW I'm surprised it hasn't been included ages ago. I've never tried Sonar Plus. I'm not very interested in unspupported non-official stuff. /M

metz I've never tried Sonar Plus. I'm not very interested in unspupported non-official stuff. /M If it helps it's very easy to install & uninstall, changes nothing at all of your Sonar install and can be customised as much as you want. I've sort of stopped using it now but when I did it had 3 buttons on it and hidden at the very top of my screen. I used it for a short while for the fullscreen mode and that was it really. Benstat the author no longer supports it because he got hired by Cakewalk, which should say something about it really. Hopefully panup is next.

bapu I vote for FBB to do videos for CW. Yes, but in the recent survey did you respond that you will pay for them? And if yes, how much would you be willing to pay. FBB has to make a living you know, bikes to ride, bills to pay and all that.

I downloaded the demo and spent about an hour with it but could not make the taskbar not appear on any given window. Thanks sb

In the "open" attributes pane, there are the options to remove the titlebar and/or resize frame etc... http://www.actualtools.co...atures/changestyle.php

I'm using Sonar Plus with the Panu patch for X1d, and it works perfectly here, including the full screen function.
