Features & Ideas Forum : Tell Cakewalk Your Ideas (so we can Vote for them)

If you have an idea or suggestion you should put it in the new Features and Ideas forum.
It is located here
http://forum.cakewalk.com/Features-Ideas-f76.aspx
Cakewalk has created this new forum to make it easier to isolate and review ideas for features.
The general Sonar forum is more for trying to find answers from other users for a specific problem you are experiencing.
Bakers may or may not see your idea in the general Sonar forum especially if it is off-topic for that thread.
If your idea is put into the Features and Ideas forum, other users have the opportunity to vote on how much they like your idea. Cakewalk then uses the voting data to decide what to do next to Sonar.
To vote, first enter the thread you want to vote for. There is a box to the right of the thread title in each idea thread. The box has 5 stars shown. Click on the star that corresponds to your interest. 1 for little interest 5 for extreme interest. You can only vote once in each idea thread.

This makes perfect sense because they can easily tabulate the voting results rather than combing through 100's of threads. This process is new and aligned with the Sonar development paradigm they have created along with the 2015 release.
You may want to browse through the Features and Ideas forum and vote on what is already there. I promise you there are ideas you will like. You can also see if others have already submitted your idea before you add it and also how popular an idea currently is.
This is a golden opportunity for Sonar users to let Cakewalk know what you want for Sonar.

What would really be cool if the Baker's would give us some feedback, but not the kind like, "This would be too difficult, or "due to some odd reason, we cannot..."  I think we've had enough of that.

    I agree completely.
There is a what's new page on the CW site but I would like to see more.
It might be good to know what is being worked on along with a description and then a sort of RFC so that we can comment on the details of the implementation.

????  if they can't they can't!  Also, some ideas may not be feasible.  Feedback would be cool but I'm sure there's a lot of internal discussion on these things and maybe more feedback will be forthcoming, along the lines of, "we've added this to the list"... with the new model.

I love the new forum thread...

Uh, I don't think you quite understand what I mean by feedback.  I would prefer direct feedback from the Bakers like, "We like your idea and would work to.... or "We recognize the desire for such functionality; however, in order to do so we would have to..."  There are more ways to accomplish things with ingenuity and current technology.  Consider how Samsung (and IK Multimedia) made low-latency interfacing using Jack for Android devices.  A lot of what I am saying applies to features which have been apart of SONAR for several versions now (X series).   Those like ACT, Matrix View, AudioSnap, etc.  Just look at the Feature Request and Ideas forum.  Has Cakewalk responded to any of those threads?  Mostly, know-it-all moderators who speak like reps and employees of CW.  That's all I am asking.

    Kind regards,

I'd like a new feature that removes 'broken record' noise.  From the forum.

There's a whole sub forum dedicated to suggestions, why are you trying to start a thread here? The forum hostess must be getting lazy.

No one is starting anything. Many people do not know about the Features and ideas forum.
    Read the OP.
