Have to agree with all of the Buggles comments. You definitely tapped into something there- intentional or not. Very cool song. I like the French voice running through there too. Very quirky.

Daryl,

I immediately thought of Janis Ian's 17, but then it all went off in a different direction.   A cool, quirky song.   Well mixed and played.   Had to have a couple listens through;)   I liked it.   That bass sounds great too, you channeled Bapu, it sounded just like him:)

Great tune! Love the flow of this piece. I'm with Dan, I hear a bit of the Buggles . . . KUDOS!

Thanks Mark. I like quirky. I'm sure that I subconsciously played the bass like Baps

Cool and quirky!!  I like quirky!  Great mix Daryl.  I think I can hear the Melodyne in a few spots....  I like the chord changes...the quirkiness erases the sadness and lends a "cuteness" flavor to the tune.  LOL

Cheers!

Daryl, you really captured the atmosphere with this song, even the auto tune fits perfect.
...well, now its March and it still looks like February here in the Netherlands today.
I have to join in with Wookiee at this point I was born in February (at the height of the carnival season) so I can live with it.

I really like this, Daryl.  I like the balance of textures in the mix, and the play of your melancholy vocal against the "sunny" instrumental arrangement.  You are truly an original.

All the best,
Lynn

Great mix with unusually dramatic changes that actually works well.  Performances and arrangements are top-notch. Very well done!  IMHO, the song is let down somewhat by being flat-lined (main vocal melody structure), and vocals are too nasally in some parts (vocal effect is fine, but a little overdone).

Excellent tune and a really fine production on it as usual, Daryl.  I would (personal preference possibly) liked to have heard just a tad more of the vocal.
