Feel Better - Now With Video!
Update: Check out the video I did over the weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ut1Nv7hfb0 I don't know what possessed me to write this, but I did and I'd like to hear your comments about it. I was going for a traditional sound with a rather primitive feel. Please go easy on the crappy guitar playing. :) https://soundcloud.com/kevin-ibsen/feel-better Update: I just got feedback from one of my friends here in analog world that the guitar sound in the solo for at least one of the guitars doesn't really fit the song. Does anyone have an opinion on that?

Hey Kevin! I must say; that is the best crappy guitar playing I've ever heard! Love the slide guitar very much. Nice old time country vibe in this song.

Nice mix on this one Kevin! Vocals are right where they should be, and the slide plays well with them. Nice song as well, Herb (Guitarhacker) would probably love this one. Wouldn't change a thing... Regards, Dan

I didn't read other comments... This is a terrific demo of this song and really gets it across. My only nit -- and it could be my phones -- is that the mix overall is a tad treble heavy. As for the dualing guitars in the instrumental, I thought they sound good and well played so no crits on that. Good one. !! Allan ===

Thanks, Allan I'm grateful for your time. My hearing is pretty bad in the treble freqs, so it very well could be a bit crispy to normal humans. I'll get my wife to listen to it, she's pretty brutal. Thanks again!

Thanks, Daryl! If John and Paul had written it, it would have had an awesome bridge.

Thanks, Tom, I appreciate the listen and the feedback on the mix. The video was pretty fun to do. Fun fact: That zombie is one of the very few in zombie movie lore that is smart enough to pick up a rock and bash in a window.

I love the song and the video. This is the kind of country music that I grew up listening to coming out of my dad's radio in his pickup. Overall, the sound seems well balanced in all frequencies, but, I lack some high end in my ears, too. Keep em coming.

Thanks, Lynn! Funny thing is, I did not grow up listening to this music, not at all. I still don't really understand what part of my head this tune came from, but it was fun as heck to do. I've since started listening to lots of traditional tunes that resonate strongly with me, so maybe there will be more like it. I appreciate your comments and your time!

Hi Kevin, I think the guitar suits the song, nice tone, great playing and all fits nicely to my ears. It's a nice song, easy listening, lyrics and vocals all good. The video is quite in contrast to the song but match the mood nicely in a funny kind of way. I enjoyed it a great deal.

That be some good stuff... The slide guitar really helped put it over the top IMO. But overall it's well played, well sung, but important it just has a great retro-ish vibe that matches up with the video in a nicely disturbing way.

lol, thanks! I appreciate your time, Steve. My wife inspired the tune and she's the world's biggest horror movie fan, so I thought it only fitting that the video had a zombie apocalypse background.
