Feeling Good

......continuing our series of songs that should never be attempted to be covered, the current Mrs Daryl1968 and I covered this one.
It was a labour of love that took nearly 18 months from Mrs D saying 'we should cover this one' to what you hear.
Enjoy....

Daryl, this is a beautiful recording in every way.  Is this the same voice that covered "Titanium" not so long ago?  You two make quite a team.  Bravo.

and, oh yeah, well done! very professional, classic recording with a beautiful voice. that said, I am somehow missing some twist or edge...don't get me wrong, it is great, but it is not touching me. I think it is lacking a little bit of something different...to make it special and stand out a little more.

Great work and arrangement, I liked the brass lines in the background! Very skillful and the style is spot on. No real string section? The singer has a fantastic voice, it must be fun to do stuff like this together.

The main body was excellent, made me fell like I was in a hip version of "Casablanca", the mix, production are well put together and a perfect voice for that tune, a sleazy and funky mix. Even Bogart would love it!!

OOOOh, I think I like this a lot!!!  Mrs. Daryl has a beautiful voice!!  I like this style a lot too, what would you call it, "cabaret"?  But with modern touches.  This reminds me a lot of a Jon Brion production.  The kind he used to do for Aimee Mann and Fiona Apple.  This could be a radio hit under the right circumstances.  I could see Miley Cyrus singing this (as she disrobed) Lol.  But seriously,  I am enjoying this song very much.  Thanks for sharing Daryl!!!
