Few questions regarding workflo

Hello all,
 
still busy trying to find my way around sonar.
 
I have a few questions:
 
Is it possible to makes notes legato without running the CAL?
 
And the 2nd question:
 
When I insert an instrument, i get the options to enable all outputs. Is there a way to insert (lets say Kontakt) where I can enable or disable some of its outputs afterwards? Trying to setup a template, having to enable them all on insert and delete it all again (the ones i do not need) feels a bit cumbersome.
 
Any help would be much apreciated

    EDIT: seems I have found a way to change the outputs through the dropdown menu on the instrument track itselve. Off to find more dumb questions
