Dimension LFO + Envelope Generator Simultaneously?

It appears that I can use the LFO Simultaneously with the Envelope Generator for any parameter. Don't they conflict with one another? Does one cancel the other out?

Any clarification would be appreciated.

    The different sections in any Modulator add together, Zoot. For example, let's use Pitch. Both the LFO and Pitch EG are set to 1200 cents in Depth. The envelope will sweep up to a maximum of one octave over standard key pitch. At the same time, the LFO will sweep between one octave up, and one octave down (with standard pitch at center).

    At any given point, the resulting pitch will be an added combination of where the EG is in time and level, and where the LFO is at those same points.
