Any good toutorials on crazzy synth techniqes?

I have been getting into playing guitar along side tripy synth tracks, simaler to Ozric Tenticals and Dream Theater . I was just wondering if their wher any good toutorials to setting up a softsynth rig and tweaking it to get sounds like that. I currently have Korg Legacy Digital and I'm having fun with it but I think I may need something more like a subtractive synth to get them sounds also.

Any good toutorials on synthesizers, specificaly SoftSynths?
What would be a good starting soft Synth for this kind of music?

I have tryed the Massive Demo and I realy like it but other than that I'm kind of at a loss as I'm new to the synth thing. I do understand the difrence, its the aplication I would like to learn.

    Rapture huh? Look here:

Check out the Signal Flow articles, then directly below them you start getting's into B's stuff.

Good stuff here for Dimension Pro:

Here's some threads that might keep you occupied for a while. I had a more up-to-date list somewhere, this one stops about last August. Some of this is also posted on the WIKI, some of it is B's stuff, and some of it is Rene himself explaining his synths. Can't get much better than that...
