Rapture and .gig?

Anyone using Rapture? How does it handle .gig files?

It seems like Gigastudio takes up alot of CPU on my system. I wondered if I could/should replace it with a more universal app.

Alot people use Rapture. It does not handle .gig files very well. As a matter of fact it does not handle them at all. There are applications can play Gigastudio files such as VSampler

You might want to look at something like Extreme Sample Converter

to convert the files into another format.

Really? It doesn't paly them at all? Wow ...*doh!*

I should have read the specs. I guess I just assumed that it would. That's what I get for "ASS-u-ming" I guess. *embarrassed chuckle*

Using ExtremeSampleConverter, you could convert Gig files to SFZ format.
Prepare to spend some time tweaking... but it can be done.
