I don't think that's possible - I think you're going to have to get another vid card for better resolution

i've had a few mini-apps that could do that, they were bundled with videocards or included with the driver packages. i haven't seen one for a while but page around on the Nvidia site ( or ATI if that's your flavor ) and see if they still support that feature. i remember one of the early Nvidia TNT cards i had included that function. the screen would scroll around when you moved the mouse up to the edge.

Thanks. I have a ton of res' to choose from on my card, but only one widescreen setting. I'm using a 32" LCD HDTV for my monitor, and just need more than one widescreen res. I guess I'm stuck at 1366x768

what kind of card? i had to hunt and hunt for drivers for my nvidia quadro nvs 280 that would do 1680x1050, which is the natural resolution of my monitor. i ended up going back to the original drivers that came with my dell and it fixed the problem.

you might try different versions of your driver - several newer nvidia drivers allow you to set a custom resolution. however the maximum resolution of your HDTV might be 1366x768 (enough for 720p). LCD TVs usually aren't good choices for monitors although they are great for movies and HDTV.
