Can't export ANYTHING
Sorry in advance if this problem has been discussed many times. I tried searching under 'exporting', but couldn't find anything that helped me. I have MC 2. I'm trying to import a wav file that I created, add some audio effects, and export it as a wav. At first this worked fine, but then it stopped working. I would import a file and put it as a certain track, but when I would hit the play button to hear what it sounds like it, it wouldn't play it. There would be no error message, it just wouldn't play. When I would try to add some audio effects and hit 'audition' it acted as though it was playing, but I couldn't hear anything. (by the way it isn't my speakers, lol) I would try to export it but when I would save it (normally it would load while it saved) it wouldn't show up in my folder. There's no error message and I don't know how to fix this. I've looked in the manual to see if i'm importing the correct way, and I am. I can't export any files. Any help? Thanks, Michael

can you play anything? try opening tutorial #5 and see if it will play. if not, check the RECORDING and PLAYBACK TIMING MASTERS in the OPTIONS>AUDIO>GENERAL and also check the OUTPUTS in the OPTIONS>AUDIO>DRIVERS.

Are you importing your wav file into a MIDI track? It won't work. Sorry had to ask. If I didn't, it would be like a TV repairman not checking to see if the box was plugged in to the wall.

no, its not a midi track, I right click and 'add audio track'. I've tried doing tutorial 5, and it won't play. When I click the play button, it fades for a split second (like it's going to play) and then it returns to normal. (it's not like the line on the timeline is moving and I can't hear anything, it won't play at all) I've looked in the manuel several times to see if I'm missing a step while importing, but I am doing it correctly...

OK. then I suggest you do the following: close MC using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following: C:\PROGRAM FILES\CAKEWALK\MUSIC CREATOR find the AUD.INI file (it might be AUD on your computer depending on your settings) DELETE that file restart MC it will ask if you want to run the WAVE PROFILER YES try again and let us know if that worked.
