Music Creator 2003

So how the h... are ya? Me none 2 good Mahn. This program/creature/creator whippin' me good.

Well, I can't even really say that yet. I'm getting as far as it asking to install MSactive X 8.1. So then it does it, says it's fine & 2 restart me puter. I does so. It don't like me. Can't find NO MSf'n 8.1 over & over & over & over she go.

Is there be any help for me out here?

    Yeah that is the oldest problem here, The issue is that Cakewalk is looking for DirectX 8.1, which is old, current systems run a newer version of DirectX. There used to be a patch here that would install the program and make cake think it was on 8.1 when in reality it was not. i did a quick search and did not find that patch any more. MC 2003 is now 5 years old (came out in 2002) I strongly suggest upgrading to MC3 or Home studio if you can swing it.

    hello i think i might be able to help you...i have the same old version of MC and everything I have to re- install the software I get the same problem. Here is the link to that patch for the direct x problem with MC. http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/FAQs/MC2faq.asp#DX8

    Cool there it is!! copy that file to a folder of your choice, then double click the file and let it install the program (program disk must be in CD rom drive)
