Novation ReMOTE SL -> ACT -> Velocity?

Has anyone mapped the pads on a Novation Remote SL to trigger Velocity via ACT?

While I work hard at maintaining the self delusion of inteligence, reality is infringing all too often...

    You cant map the pads in velocity because they are triggered by notes.

    via ACT? what do you need ACT for here?

    I mean, if you're talking about velocity sampler in P5, well, all you gotta do is create a blank template with Velocity pads responding to the notes that the pads transmit. (I don't have the SL, so I"m not fully sure that the pads transmit midi notes, I have the MPD 24, it works that way)

    and then, you can just open that "blank" bank in Velocity everytime you work with it.

    I don't think ACT can help you there, maybe I didn't quite get your question though...

    I use the Battery template in my Remote SL to control Velocity. As I recall, I did have to program the pads to send note off messages, or as I was recording, every note on from the pads lasted until the end of the song.

    I have had zero luck with ACT for reasons easily searchable in the forums. Universal Automap isn't great for me since I use DXI's and it is VST only.

    But, I have had great succes just doing the old midi learn thing in the plug interfaces.
