Session Drummer2

Hi,

I don't normally need help, but with SD2, can anyone answer...

1. When I load a program and go to drag in a loop, changing the amount of beats before I drag it in doesn't seem to work...it always just drags in the default amount of beats for that loop. Why is that?

2. How come when I load a program into SD2 not all the loops fit together seemlessly? I would have thought that all the loops/ 8 pads for that program would all have been synched...but I've selected say loop D to try to match up to loop A and it just doesn't go together...the beat is not consistent, if you know what I mean. eg. 4 consecutive loops of A work obviously...but then when I drag loop D as the 5th loop after those 4, it doesn't maintain the correct beat.

Anyway, that's it for now....except is there a mod who could let me change my screen name, because i accidentally put my email as my username...and I don't really want that.

thanks

Which exact preset you're using in this example? I'll test it too.

There are some editing operations that cause S621PE to do some "automatic trimming" of MIDI clips.

This is easily demonstrated by slip editing a MIDI clip past its last event (making the clip longer than its content). Then, do some additional manipulation of the clip; like drag copy to another track. S621PE will trim the portion of the clip that does not have events in it back down to its "real" length.

An example of what you are seeing would be an SD2 two measure fill (8 beats) that has one measure of content followed by a one measure break. When you drag this clip to your track, S621PE will trim it back down to just the 4 beats (one measure).

    Small annoyance, easy to work-around.

I can't remember the exact preset, but it seemed to be occuring with all of them. I haven't been at my home PC for a couple of days. But I can check it out.

What about the adjust amount of beats? Even though I alter the amount before I drag a loop in, the loop is always dragged in as the default amount.
