Problems with sonar

Hi,

Im using Sonar production 6 and I have a huge problem. I have recorded a tune, saved the project (*.cwp) and closed the program. Now when Im trying to open it, I get an error message claiming that the file is not compatible with the version of the software. I also tried to use Safe Mode, but still - I get the same error message.

What can I do?
You can see the error message here:

Thank you!!!!

I see some Hebrew (?) letters there.. maybe Sonar isn't so compatible with some of the language options in Windows XP? maybe i'm wrong..
(control panel>regional and language options - try choosing English in the first tab)

Maybe others who use WinXP with Location or Standard and Formats set to anything besides English can tell better..

What was in that project? any VST fx or synths? Does it happen with any project now?

The filename is in english, so there are no language problems...

It happens with all the projects, besides one... I can't find any common issue to all of this....

Uninstall Sonar and then re-install it again paying careful attention to the language you select. Or re-install Sonar over the current version you have and see if that solves the problem.

Al was simply pointing out that Win XP is using one language and Sonar another. That may be the cause of your problem.

    But then you know best.

You have both versions on your DAW?

    Neat I guess.
